EKPAN/Nigeria: As Nigeria celebrate its 57 year independent anniversary, the minister in charge of Shalom Baptist Church of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) Ekpan branch, Pst. Bright Opate, Uvwie Local Government Area, has revealed that Nigeria is the only Country on earth whose independence is found in the Holy Bible.
The clergyman of God made the revelation known Sunday October 1, 2017 during this year’s 57th independent anniversary celebration at Shalom Baptist church.
Pst. Opate who admonished Nigerians to be loyal and faithful to the call of their fatherland, centred his message titled “The believers Responsibility Toward her Nation” took his text from the Bible book of Gen.5:8, Isaiah 60:1, Rom. 13:1-7.
The man of God expressed joy on the independent celebration of Nigeria, noting that there are so many things good about Nigeria even as believers of God that their responsibility is fully on service to the people and God Almighty.
He enjoined Nigerians both politicians and non politicians to serve Nigeria with their heart and might while holding any office whether in public or not even in religious circle, nothing that “if we serve Nigeria with our heart and might corruption that we have been shouting about will be a thing of the past”.
He reassured Nigerians to believe in the country, adding that the solution of Nigeria is in the National Anthem if it is applied in all aspects.
Pst. Opate described President Mohammadu Buhari as a minister of God who has come to take Nigeria to greater heights, urging all Nigerians to pray for the president, Governors and other government officials in order for God to give them more wisdom for Nigeria’s advancement according to 1Timothy 2: 1-3 among others.
The servant of God led the Church into prayers for Nigeria’s unity, development, peace, progress and prosperity irrespective of tribe and religious differences among the people.
