Nigerian Students Tasked on Sincerity and Transparency

img_3515Warri: The leadership of students of Nigerian higher institutions has been called to be sincere in their relationship with their fellow students and authorities in the country.

The charge was giving when the leaders of the Delta State University, Abraka, Student Association, under the auspices of Supreme Students Senate, visited the office of the Executive Director, Directorate of Social Services Development, Delta State Oil Producing Oils Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, in Warri on Wednesday, 7 December, 2016.

Hon Ochor called on the students to ensure that the welfare of the Students of the departments they represent is well taking care of, which can only happen if the act sincerity and transparent.

“Leadership is difficult. It can be frustrating, but when you are sincere and transparent, you will succeed, as others will be the one to tell your story”. He said.

Speaking further, Hon Ochor to the students that a true representative of the students will have to know and study the problems facing the students, to be able to proffer genuine solutions to the problems.

“You must know the challenges of the students, sometimes the students maybe facing victimization, or any other challenges, you must know this. You must know their challenges.”

On the relationship between the commission and the students of delta state origin, especially on students welfare packages, like bursary, Hon Ochor promised the students the readiness of the commission to always attend to the students is funds for such students welfare services are made available.

Earlier in his address, the leader of the group, Senator Frank-Efe Laurel thanked  the management of DESOPADEC for their open door policies toward the students of Delta State Origin, and pleaded for the commission for such relationship to continue.
