EWURU/Nigeria: The Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in Delta State, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe, has affirmed that relaxation of the human body was important in reducing stress, boosting proper thinking and improving the overall wellbeing of a person.
Mr. Osakwe stated this when members of the Executive Committee (EXCO) of the Delta State Chapter of NIPR went on a facility tour of the Park Vegas Water Park at Ewuru, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
He commended the initiators of the project, stating that it would enhance the tourism potentials of the state as well as place Delta state on the world tourism map.
Mr. Osakwe called on relevant stakeholders in the private and public sectors to partner and patronise the establishment to enhance its growth.
The vice chairman expressed gratitude to the management for the warmth reception during the tour and pledged the support of the institute in the areas of awareness creation and other strategic engagements.
In her response, the Human Resources Manager, Mrs. Joy Esho-Shaba, stated that the mission of the Park Vegas was to be number one in West Africa as a tourist centre , adding that the management were members of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attraction (IAAPA) and also World Water Park Association ( WWPA).
She expressed gratitude to members of NIPR for honouring the invitation to assess facilities at the park.
The Park Supervisor, Mr. Anthony Ogadi, during the tour showed members of the NIPR the different segments of the park, including a Wave Pool, Space Hole, Free Fall, Black Hole and Aqua Tower splash.
