Nmalagu Commends Okowa for Keeping to His Electioneering Promises

Asaba: Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has been commended for keeping to his electioneering campaign promises, of ensuring the state receives maximum developmental attention.Bishop Greatman Nmalagu
This commendation was made recently in Asaba by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu when he spoke to the press in accessing the governors’ policies and programs since assumption of office.
According to him, the governor is marvellously doing well, especially in the face of the serious financial difficulties he inherited, and huge salary budget.
“Despite the financial difficulty, as a man who keeps to his words, he is keeping to the promises he made during his electioneering campaigns”.
“He promised to keep the state religiously united irrespective of the multi religious nature of the state, and he is fulfilling that. The state is the most peaceful state in Nigeria free from religious violence and other associated problems”.
Bishop Nmalagu commended the governor in the area of infrastructural development in the state, as more roads, schools, hospitals had been either renovated or newly built in the past two years.
“His first year was a very difficult one as he struggled to construct 28 roads, rehabilitated the technical schools in the state, empowered a lot through micro-credit facilities, because of shortfalls in revenue to the state”
“However, as he marks the second year in office, more development can be noticed, as he had taken development to all the senatorial district of the state, and local governments”.
“Travel within the state is now very easy and fast as majority of the roads that were in bad shape is now very motorable. Abandoned roads in the past are either been finished or been worked on”.
“In the area of job creation, it had been wonderful as under the various skill training programmes of the government, more than 4000 Deltans had been trained and established with starter packs, this is in fulfilment of his SMART Agenda program of Prosperity for All Deltans”.
The Executive Assistants while congratulating the governor for keeping to his electioneering promises, called on Deltans to vote him back as the governor of the state in 2019.
He said that to effectively return Okowa to office in 2019 to complete his positioning agenda of the state is for those that does not have voters card, especially those 18 years and above to take part in the on going continuous voters registration exercise.
Bishop Nmalagu called on Deltans to continue to pray for the governor, to keep on managing the state resources judiciously, so that he will continue to put smile on the faces of the people.
“He is not just a medical Doctor but also a democratic and management doctor judiciously managing the economy of the state thereby putting smiles on the faces of all Deltans despite the recession which is badly affecting individuals, families and the nation at large”.
