Nmalagu Warns Intending Pilgrims not to Disgrace the Govt.

Intending pilgrims from Delta state has been called upon to be law abiding and go to Israel to fulfill the soul aim of the Pilgrimage.
This warning was giving to the intending pilgrims by the Aid to the Delta State governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu during the screening exercise of the 2015 pilgrims by the Delta State Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, at the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Secretariat, Asaba on Tuesday, 13 October, 2015.
Bishop Nmalagu who in his address at the occasion thanked the governor for his magnanimity, that despite the present economic condition still took it as an obligation to the service of God to sponsor 200 Christian to go to the Holy land of Israel for the 2015 pilgrimage..
Speaking further, the aid to the governor, warned the favoured Deltans that they should see the journey to the holy land as a journey for spiritual exercise, and not for fun and materialistic activities.
“Brothers and sisters, may we not waste such a divine opportunity and huge sum spent in sponsoring us for this trip to the Holy land by getting ourselves involved on shenanigan activities and being materialistic than seeking the spiritual purposes of this trip”. He said.
He admonished Christians who are going to this year’s pilgrimage to know that going to the holy land for the sake of seeing the beautiful aquatic, agricultural and mountainous settings of Israel, will only be a waste to the resources of Delta state, time and the privileged opportunity for spiritual revival and growth, but rather should be used to pray for the governor, their personal life, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as opportunity to worship and learn further ways of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ, through visits to various sites were His teachings and activities were kept for purposes of learning and spiritual awakening.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Religious Matters, Rev. Ben Golley, while congratulating the intending pilgrims of 200 chosen from the state to be sponsored by the government, said they should count themselves luck that they made the list of this year’s exercise.
Rev. Goly reminded them that going to Israel should not been taking for its fantasy, but rather they should consider themselves as ambassadors of Christ, Delta and Nigeria in particular. He therefore asked them not to be dismayed by what they may see when they get to Israel, as some of the things they may see, will surprise them.
