NNU Receive Elumelu, Asks to be considered an Adopted Son.

In furtherance to his familiarisation tour to the ethnic nationalities and personalities in Delta State and to make his intentions known to the people of the state, Hon Ndudi Elumelu a member of the Federal House of Representatives of Nigeria was received by the Executives and members of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), the apex socio/cultural group of the Ndokwa Nation on Sunday 9 March, 2014 at Obiaruku. The occasion which was held at Rico Hotels, was well attended.

Hon Elumelu, who was accompanied by members of his campaign team, earlier visited Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, an APC chieftain in Obiaruku, also a governorship hopeful. In the Hon Elumelu entourage were Senator Patrick Nwajei and Mrs Odigili.

In his address, Hon Ndudi Elumelu, says he came to formally inform the people of Ndokwa of his intention to run for the office of the governor, come 2015. According to him it is proper to prepare their mind despite the fact that many Ndokwa sons and daughters may have interest to contest, that he is available, and he should be considered an adopted son of Ndokwa Nation. Speaking further, the member of the House of Rep said he had been a proponent of development in Ndokwa Nation as a member of the Federal House. He therefore prayed to be accepted and supported by the people of Ndokwa.

Reacting to his request, the President General of Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), Chief (Pharm) Paul O. Enebeli welcomed Hon Elumelu and his entourage and told him that his request is in order and will be looked into. And that the synergy to work to get someone from Delta North to occupy the Government house will be achieved.
