WARRI/Nigeria: The Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Delta State, Mr.Ivan Okoro has appealed to various media outlets in the state to collaborate with the agency to help in moving the state forward. The Director who was flanked by his entourage amongst whom were the Assistant Director of NOA in Warri South made this call on Tuesday 8TH September in a meeting conveyed by Co-founder of the Value Rebirth and Empowerment Initiative (VREI), Pastor Edewor Egedegbe which was held with CSOs at Reed Centre, Nehemiah Road, Okuokoko, Delta State.
The Director during the meeting listed his plans for the agency which were in line with the core values of the Nigerian constitution which are discipline, integrity, political and religious tolerance.
“The agency is an intermediary between the government and the people.. We are in the area of value orientation which are in line with National core ethics or core values of the Nigerian constitution which are discipline, integrity, religious and political tolerance, patriotism, etc
The Director however lamented the increase of vices in the state which is a deviation from the values entrenched in the constitution and said the agency’s goal is to promote positive values which can be assimilated and imbibed.
The Director however acknowledged that there are many challenges that the agency is facing, but with the support of the media especially the assistance of the Value Rebirth and Empowerment Initiative (VREI), the agency can be able to achieve so much. The Director also said that he will also support any project the VREI organization undertakes.
Pastor Egedegbe thanked the Director for gracing the organization with his presence and on behalf of the organization pledged to support his visions in any way it can, stressing the need to be committed to the ideals of the organization.
