WARRI/Nigeria: The Delta State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr Ivans Okoro has called for more effective collaboration with the Delta state Directorate of Orientation.
The call was contained in his response when he received on courtesy call the executive Assistant on Orientation to the State Governor Barr.Eugene Uzum and the management of the State Directorate of Orientation in his office in Asaba on Tuesday, 7th, November, 2017.
Mr Okoro highlighted the goals and objectives of the National Orientation Agency and requested for a synergy with the State Orientation in areas of value re-orientation of Nigeria citizens for peace, tranquility and economic progress.
He stated that Nigeria is blessed with human resources and that the youths are the vibrant force to bring the change we clamour for.
Mr Okoro reiterated the need to partner the state government in areas of reorientation, mobilization and sensitization in all the nooks and crannies of the State, thereby bridging existing information gap in the rural areas.
He thanked the visitors for finding the NOA worthy of partnering with in the discharge of assigned duties.
The NOA boss pledged his support to the State Orientation in actualizing its mandate in the State.
He stated that there is more to gain in working together.
Earlier in his brief, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Orientation, Barr. Eugene Uzum, noted that there is need for the big brother agency (NOA) to work together with the State Government.
He disclosed that positive advocacy and marketing of positive inputs for the mandate of the State Orientation from the government.
Barr. Uzum urged youths in the State to disregard any form of negative trades like internet frauds.
The Executive Assistant who stated that Nigeria lacked better orientation and that people no longer had trust in the Federal Government said that they want to partner with NOA in the State.
He expressed concerns over fund challenges facing his office and NOA.
Barr. Uzum stated that his office was looking where they can have a template for the State Government in collaboration with NOA.
While commending NOA presence in all local government councils in the country, the Executive Assistant noted that both orientation bodies are like the local police.
