NOA, PIND Hold Consultative Forum on Waste Management in October 25, 2017

WARRI/Nigeria: The National Orientation Agency in collaboration with the Partnership Initiative in the Niger Delta (PIND) will hold a consultative session to address the menace posed by waste in the Niger Delta region through technology enhanced methods.

The exercise which is slated for Wednesday October 25, will take place at PIND-EDCD Avenue Egbokodo Itsekiri, near Ubeji, Warri.

Speaking on the nature of the workshop, the Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer of NOA, Warri North Office, Mrs Esther Madamedon, stated that the workshop would avail the participants the opportunity of acquiring   skills needed for tackling harmful waste in the region.

According to Mrs. Madamedon, “The skills acquired will be harnessed at the various Local Government Areas” adding that participants would include National Orientation Agency Officers, Heads of Education and Environment Departments in Warri North, Warri South, Warri South West, Okpe and Sapele Local Government Areas in the State.

She however stressed that the paucity of funds was responsible for streamlining the set of participants attending the workshop.

Dignitaries expected at the workshop include the State Director, NOA and Council Chairmen of the aforementioned Local Government Areas.
