WARRI/Nigeria: A Nigerian-American, Dr Sylvester Onoyona, who is a successful real estate mogul in the United States of America and Africa; is also the All Pregressives Congress, APC candidate for the seat of Isoko Federal Constituency in the Nigerian House Representatives at the forthcoming 2023 general elections have boasted that, with him and the Senatorial Candidate for the Delta South Senatorial District, nobody can defeat the duo of their party’s gubernatorial and presidential candidates, the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege and Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, respectively.
He stated this on the sideline of the gubernatorial campaigns flag off held at Warri Township Stadium, November 19, 2022 and heralded by the party’s presidential candidate Asiwaju Tinubu an event described by political pundits as a star studded campaign.
According to the Adjunct Professor, he has secure the confidence and trust of the Isoko electorates to deliver bulk votes to himself, the Senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential candidates of the broom party adding that, “not even the gate of hell can prevail against it.”
Assuring his supporters and followers alike, Dr Onoyona aligned himself with the statements of the Presidential, gubernatorial candidates and that of the former governor of Edo State who is also the second national Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole that Deltans will witness new lease of life if they massively vote for APC candidates across board. He expressed surprise at what he described as the wickedness of the PDP administration in the oil-rich Delta State in the context of the revelation made by the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, recently to wit: the payment of all the backlogs of the derivation funds accrued to States in the Niger Delta region including the oil-rich delta state which he noted that, the marauding cesspool of corruption- PDP in the state has looted.
The popular Isoko candidate for the House of representative who said he doesn’t know the name of his opponent at the election due to the obscurity of his supposed rivals added that, he has no rival as long as Isoko votes are concerned. He added that, the people are tired of deliberate deception and need for a new Isoko nation led by a progressive-minded visionary who will exit “the masses of our people from the woods of horrible representation that the PDP brought upon Isoko nation.”
According to the Emede Isoko South Local Government-born APC candidate, the PDP and its allied organisations shall be humiliated by the people of Isoko land at the polls as he reiterated the “enough is enough” slogan of the masses.
According to the youthful candidate of the broom party, Isoko nation has suffered deprivation and ‘criminal deceptions’ over the years and that time has come when the people have decided to change the norm and bring a new socio-political order that will usher in the true and visionary representation to “buy back Isokthe o nation from the world of fiefdom. I am that concconsensust Isoko nation has agreed to give their mandate.”
Dr. Onoyona decried what he described as the shameful silence from Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa’s administration over what he called the mother of all revelations from Mr. Wike as he challenged the Ika-born medical doctor turned politician to take a giant step by addressing the people of Delta State on why he got more money from derivation and yet borrowed most among the entire Nigerian federation.
The human development expert request Dr Okowa to apologise to deltans particularly the pensioneers “whose monies have been stolen and the victims allowed to die in batches” over the silence of his administration concerning the payment of their pensions yet had enough money as result of the payment of derivation backlog made possible by the Muhammadu Buhari-led APC government.
He further averred that Dr Okowa owes it a duty to come clean on all allegations of corruption against him and his family members including his cronies saying, Deltans wish to know why “Anioma’s agenda metamorphosed into Owa-Alero agenda.”
The flamboyant candidate for the green chamber on the platform of the APC called on Delta State electorates to queue behind all APC candidates and massively vote for them at the polls describing PDP as a dying horse throwing its last kick while he urged the people to sack the ruling PDP in the state and hold it responsible for plundering the commonwealth of the people.
Flanked by the Delta South senatorial candidate, Joel Onowakpo, Dr Onoyona said they are the people’s resolution adding that, there is no alternative to uprooting the PDP “the bandwagon and cesspit of corruption” who he noted have plundered the state fleecing it to its bone marrow.
The APC according to Onoyona will buy back the state and reposition it to attain its potential of a prosperous federating unit adding that, the EDGE Agenda of the APC gubernatorial flagbearer in the state, Ovie Omo-Agege will be implemented to better the life of the masses of Deltans.
At the Warri, rally were the Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, the Director General of Presidential Campaign Council, Solomon Lalong, former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and many other dignitaries.
Other candidates present from lsoko included the lsoko North House of Assembly candidate Dr. Michael Enahoro; lsoko south Constituency 1 House of Assembly candidate Hon. Blessing Oghogho Ese and lsoko South Constituency 2 House of Assembly candidate Mr. Larry Trust Uwomano amongst many other from across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
