North-Central APC Elders Pledge Unwavering Support for Ganduje, Call for Continuity Beyond 2027

ABUJA/Nigeria: In a resounding display of solidarity, elders and leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the North-Central region, under the banner of Concerned North-Central APC Stakeholders, have unequivocally thrown their weight behind the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the National Chairman of the party. They have urged him to lead the party beyond the 2027 general elections.

Thousands of these elders and leaders converged at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Wednesday to express their unwavering support for Ganduje’s leadership. They hailed the current National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC for demonstrating commendable capacity in leadership and ensuring fairness to all, irrespective of region, tribe, or religion.

Former Senate President, Senator Ameh Ebute, spearheaded the delegation, emphasizing their genuine representation of APC members across the North Central states. He expressed elation at Ganduje’s innovative approach to party management, particularly his embrace of technology.

“We have by our own free will, and as a collective of true progressives, decided to pay Your Excellency this solidarity visit because we believe this is the best time to physically express our appreciation of the great things you have been doing for our great Party since you were sworn into the office of the National Chairman,” stated Senator Ebute.

The delegation acknowledged the calls for a reversal of the party’s zoning arrangements but emphasized that Ganduje’s performance should be the primary consideration. They lauded his track record of electoral victories and the tangible benefits accruing to party members under his leadership.

In a vote of confidence, Sen. Jack Tilley-Gyado praised Ganduje’s efficiency, urging him to continue leading the party into the foreseeable future. He cautioned against disrupting the established zoning formula, asserting that such actions would undermine the stability of governance.

Responding to the overwhelming show of support, Ganduje expressed gratitude to the North-Central APC elders and members. He reaffirmed his commitment to a cohesive and victorious party, vowing not to heed the voices of discord within the ranks.

“I am so happy that you realize the importance of having a stable political party that is focused, ready to win election anytime, anywhere,” Ganduje affirmed. “We believe with your cooperation, we will not continue to listen to undesirable elements who are not focused, who are not real party men.”

The resounding endorsement from the North-Central APC stakeholders underscores Ganduje’s stature as a unifying force within the party, setting the stage for continued success under his leadership.
