ASABA/Nigeria: Stakeholders of National Social Investment Programmes have been charged to be result-oriented by channeling their wealth of experience towards the success of the programme in Delta State.
The State Commissioner for Humanitarian and Community Support Services, Dr. Darlington Ijeh gave the charge yesterday in Asaba during a courtesy visit of the Association of Secretaries on National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) led by its Chairman, Hon. Murray Okpor.
“As Secretaries of NHGSFP in the State, it behooves you to be efficient in the monitoring and supervision of these cooks, making sure that you work together with the Programme Manager and Independent Monitors in ensuring that the pupils from the selected schools in the State are fed according to the approved standard,” he disclosed.
Hon. Okpor felicitated with the Commissioner on his appointment, adding that they were in his Office to brief him on the activities of the National Home-grown School Feeding Programme in Delta State.
He presented the NHGSFP State’s list and other relevant documents to the Commissioner as a guide to the activities and meeting dates.
Speaking at the National Social Investment Programmes Focal Person in the State, Mr. Henry Agwaziam tutored the in-house on the activities of the four components of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) in the State and what was expected of them as direct correspondents to the State Focal Person and Commissioner.
The Commissioner, while inaugurating the in-house team, charged them to exhibit diligence as they carry out their duties as supervisory officers of National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) for the 9ff8ce of the Commissioner.
Amongst those inaugurated into the in-house Team by the Commissioner, were Mr.Maduaka Uche, Mr.Okunima Lucky, Mr. Odiwi Peter, and others.
