ASABA/Nigeria: The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta Council extended warm congratulations to Comrade Nkem Nwaeke on his appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor.
The statement, signed by Comrade Churchill Oyowe and Chairman of NUJ Delta Council Comrade Victor Sorokwu, highlighted the Council’s immense delight at the selection of one of its esteemed members for this crucial role. Comrade Nwaeke, presently an Assistant General Manager at the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) in Warri, brings over 15 years of experience in covering the state legislature, positioning him as a highly experienced and seasoned journalist.
The Council expressed confidence in Comrade Nwaeke’s capabilities, citing his deep reservoir of knowledge about the affairs and operations of the House of Assembly as an invaluable asset. They expect him to leverage his extensive experience as a versatile journalist and influential media personality to elevate and positively transform the coverage of the state legislature.
Additionally, the NUJ Delta Council conveyed gratitude to Speaker Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor for the appointment, acknowledging his commitment to prioritizing local content principles in engaging media personnel, following the exemplary footsteps of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori.
Comrade Nwaeke, a former Secretary of NUJ DBS Warri Chapel, holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Mass Communication from Delta State University, Abraka. Described as a dedicated family man, he is married with children, adding further depth to his profile.
