The Nwa Ada Ndokwa annual cultural beauty pageant has ended in Kwale with the emergence of a 20 years, 200 level political Student of Mosagar College of Education, an affiliate of the Delta State University, contestant from Umukwata, Miss Emmanuella Adaeze Dafiotu in Ukwuani LGA as the crowned Queen.

The event, the 5th in the series, and the first to be held outside Ukwuani LGA since inception, was marked with high turnout of guests and display of Ndokwa culture.

In her speech, the initiator and CEO of the Tisova Relief Concepts, Miss Valeen Oseh said the annual gathering was to celebrate culture, as she puts it

“We are here to celebrate culture. Not just culture, but our own culture, as Ndokwa people”.

She said that culture is apolitical, and since the inception of the annual event, it had not only pulled the people of Ndokwa together, but also people with different political backgrounds.

According to her, the theme for the 2016 edition, “The Beauty of Ndokwa Culture”, was carefully selected, as the need for the rekindling of the culture of Ndokwa is a key for development, and as the people need to be part of the vanguard to revamping the dignity of the collective Ndokwa cultural values.

The Grand Patron of the Tisova Relief Concepts, Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, while praising the steadfastness of the body for the past five years, called for more support for the group.img_20161227_184008

Meshack Ochonogor, Chairman of OgboNdokwa Development Initiative, Rev Jonathan Dike Secretary General Of Ndokwa Neku Union, the Woman Leader of NNU, professor Ogwu, climaxed with the crowning of the Nwa Ada Umukwata as the Nwa Ada Ndokwa Ambassador for the next one year.
