ASABA/Nigeria: The member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi has assured Delta Northerners of more impactful and adequate representation in the Senate.
Sen. Nwaoboshi gave this assurance while addressing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) faithfuls from Delta North in his residence at Ibusa. He thanked them and the Anioma people for giving him their mandate to represent them in the Senate.
According to him, he is doing just what the people have sent him to go and do, the area a very big voice in the Senate which he said was part of his responsibilities in the Red Chambers.
“Without fear of contradictions, I want to say that I have given the people of Delta North a very big voice in the Senate; as a first timer in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, when I got there, I studied the politics of the house, identified a group and pitched my tent with them,” he stated.
As a result of so many factors and especially became the Chairman of a committee in the Senate.
The Senator noted that he has attracted 17.8km road to be constructed to Delta North amongst many other projects.
“I have used my position in the Senate to attract many projects currently going on across the 9 local governments in Delta North. As I speak to you, 17.8km have been awarded to be constructed in Anioma and many other projects that I will publish in due time are still on going,” he added.
Also, the distinguished senator disclosed to his constituency that amongst the many bills he has sponsored on the floor of the Senate, that the bill on the amendment of the NDDC law have received the assent of the President.
Meanwhile, he has promised to continue to perform his duties of adequately representing Delta North in the Senate because according to him, he has done nothing yet when compared to what he knows he can do even as he wished the Anioma people a fun-filled Xmas and New Year celebration.
