Nzeogwu Urges Children to Care Adequately For Parents

OKPANAM/Nigeria: The need for children to cater adequately for their parents in order for them to be strong enough to attain oldage  has been stressed.

A front line indigene of Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Joseph Audu Nzeogwu, who stated this in Okpanam shortly after the burial ceremony of his father, late elder Mark Nzeogwu, the immediate elder brother to famous Nigerian Military Officer, late Major Kaduna Chukwuma Nzeogwu, underscored the importance of routine medical attention to the aged.

Mr. Joseph Nzeogwu, who described his deceased father as a consumate disciplinarian and community leader of high repute who stood against all forms of injustice in the society at all times.

While saying that his father impacted positively on the lives of his children and those that came close to him as well as the society in general, Mr. Joseph Nzeogwu said that the life of the octogenarian father was quite emulating.

He stated that his late uncle, Major Kaduna Chukwuma Nzeogwu only championed the struggle for the liberation of Nigeria from bad leadership, adding that the ideologies.of Major Nzeogwu was aimed at sanitising the country for better governance.

Mr. Joseph Nzeogwu, who pledged to sustain the legacies of his father, urged youths to always shun negative lifestyle and embrace things that could add values to their lives and the society at large.

He said that the only was Nigeria could imortalise and appreciate the contributions of late Major Nzeogwu was for the leaders in the country to enthrone good governance.
