Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Chief Obi Nzete

KWALE/Nigeria: Political leaders in Ndokwa West have been charged to shun politic of bitterness and unhealthy rivalry if the area is to witness accelerated infrastructural and human capital development.
The Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Chief Obi Nzete gave the charge during a consultation meeting by member of Ndokwa West Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Reconciliation Committee in Kwale.
Chief Nzete commended members of the reconciliation committee for their thoroughness in reconciling aggrieved leaders and members of PDP in the area.
The council boss used the occasion to call on all PDP faithful to rally round their own during the forth-coming election, adding that the Ndokwas should not allow themselves to be used by politicians for selfish gains.
Nzete asserted that the people of Ndokwa had paid their dues in government, adding that after Ika North East, Ndokwa West was the next in terms of voting strength in Delta North District.
He sued for peace, unity, cohesion and oneness among leaders of the party from the area, saying that factionalizing the party would not bring growth or development to the local government area.
While assuring them that he would reach out to other leaders of the party in the area, Nzete enjoined all aggrieved members of the party to patronize the committee, explaining that it was a machinery of the PDP to bring unity among members.
Earlier, the Chairman of the committee, Mr Ben Odagwe and Hon. Dennis Okoh said that unity of purpose among the leaders in the area was the only panacea for massive infrastructural development in the area.
They assured the council boss that they would ensure that the reconciliation exercise was thorough and total.
