BOMADI/Nigeria: The Chief Inspector of Education (CIE) in Bomadi Local Government Area Mr. Cyril Okonye has urged school authorities in the area to always abide by laid down rules and regulations as directed by the state government under the tutelage of the state ministry of secondary education.
Mr. Cyril Okonye gave the advice in his office after returning from monitoring several secondary schools upon their reopening for academic work for the new session.
The education officer particularly warned private schools against the violation of government directives and that any attempt to evaluate the smooth running of the school calendar of the state attracts punishment.
He noted that rules and regulations of schools are anchored on government policies and programmes, hence the need for cooperation of secondary school authorities for efficient and effective running of schools by the state government.
He lamented that only violations of such regulations attract punishments.
As part of his official duties, he monitored several secondary schools as they resumed for the new 2022 and 2023 school sessions in Delta State. Schools visited included, Government College Bomadi, Esenabe College Bomadi, St. Breden’s College Bomadi, Kpakiama Secondary School Kpakiama, and Ramous Creek Secondary School Ogriagbene.
The Delta State government has directed Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) in the 25 local government areas to monitor the activities of schools to ensure schools authorities comply with the laid down rules and regulations.
