ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, following the passing of their matriarch, Mrs. Felicia Oritselumewor Arenyeka, in a development that has drawn sympathy across political and social circles in the state.
The condolence message, conveyed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, described the death of the nonagenarian as a profound loss not only to her immediate family but also to the broader community that was touched by her life of dignity, compassion and service.
Mrs. Arenyeka, who passed on April 24, 2026, at the age of 91, was celebrated for a life marked by strength, wisdom and unwavering commitment to family values and societal development.
Governor Oborevwori commiserated with Chief Solomon Arenyeka, Barrister Victor Arenyeka, Director of Legal Services at the Niger Delta Development Commission, and other members of the bereaved family, urging them to draw comfort from the impactful and fulfilled life their mother lived.
He noted that the late matriarch’s longevity and meaningful contributions to both family and society stood as a legacy worthy of honour, even as he prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.
