Oborevwori, Aguoye Others Tasked Okpe Youth New EXCO On Accountability, Peaceful and Harmonious Relationship

OROROKPE/Nigeria: The speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and The Commissioner for Works Hon. James Aguoye have tasked the newly sworn in Okpe Youth,   Council executive officers on the need for them to be accountable to their people at all times.

The duo appealed to Okpe people to work together in synergy  as a formidable team  to ensure that their dreams of a united Kingdom come to past.

Rt Hon Oborevwori, represented by one of his aides Mr Freeborn Eghagha at the event,  charged the new executive officers to always consult widely before they take any decisions so that they  would not made any mistake (s).

The Commissioner for Works said he was particularly grateful  to God for the peaceful and credible elections which invariably led to a successful inauguration that  gave  room to a new executive officers of Okpe Youth council, praying that God grant them the wisdom to move the local government ahead victoriously.

A former chairman of the local government area,  Okakuro,  Prince Godwin Ejinyere who is the Chairman of the event,  the present Chairman,  Hon. Isaiah Onoriode  Esiowa and Mr Randy Okotie,  the chief Executive officer of Richardson Continental Hotel Sapele,  commended the the new officers on their assumption of office.

The trio, tasked them on the need for them to collaborate with the security agencies  to make the area very peaceful especially the Sapele/ Warri road axis that has been on a hot bed for criminal elements in recent times.

They commended the monarch of Okpe kingdom who gave them the approval to operate as a youth body while applauding the immediate executive officers for a successful tenure that gave room to a new one.

The Chairman Electoral committee, Mr Sunday Douglas Eremughelaye and Comrade Ohiambe Owin one of the community coordinators commended the entire Okpe people for the peaceful and smooth conduct of the election.

Mr Douglas commended the Comrade Harrison Ekeleme led administration for having faith in him to conduct the election,  while admonishing some of his people who are yet to key into the Okpe projects of development to follow up the new trend.

Those who were  sworn in as the new Okpe Youth council Officers  include , Mr Otomewo Israel , (President ), Mr Jarikre Belvin (Vice president, ) Mr Samuel Ekpo,  (Secretary )  Mr Moses  Odiete  (Treasurer )   Mr Itorho Precious  (Public Relations officer ) Mr Onomakpo Emubo,  (Financial Secretary ) and  Sarah Ayomanor  (woman Leader)

Others are Obriki Matthew, (organizing Secretary), Okutele Edesiri  ( Mobilisation Director ), Iburu Ufuoma, (Welfare Director ) and Ekeke Maureen  ( Assistant woman leader).

In the President ‘s inaugural speech after his swearing in,  said, ” we wish to express our sincere appreciation to His Royal Majesty,  Orhue 1, Major Gen Felix Mujakperuo retd,  the Orodje of Okpe kingdom,  the traditional council , Udogun Okpe for their fatherly role and assistance they have been  rendering to Okpe Youth council ”

He added, “This administration will anchor on collective executive decision, consultation across board and will run an all inclusive government. We will work hard collectively to reposition the council to compete with other youth council around the globe. ”

“The task to unite Okpe Youths is primarily the focal point of this administration because we know that when the youths are united, we can do the uncommon and protect our territorial boundaries” He stated.

Comrade Harrison Okpako Ekeleme, the immediate past President, who handed over the baton of leadership to the new President, listed some of his achievements in office, while commending their revered Monarch, and many  others who made their tenure an eventful one.
