ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the appointment of Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba as the next Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka.
This announcement was made through a statement signed by Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, Secretary to the State Government.
The appointment takes effect from 1st December 2024.
Prof. Asagba, an expert in Environmental Biochemistry and Toxicology, has had a distinguished career within the university, previously serving as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) and as the Provost of the former Asaba campus.
His leadership experience and academic background are expected to bring further development to the institution.
The appointment underscores Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to advancing educational standards in the state.
