ASABA/Nigeria: The Chairman of the Delta State Tourism Board and immediate past Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his two-year anniversary, describing his achievements as a boost to Delta’s cultural and tourism identity.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Ochor stated that the governor’s administration has rekindled pride in Delta’s diverse cultural heritage, while simultaneously improving the infrastructure and security needed to attract investment in the tourism sector.

He noted that the successful hosting of major festivals, improved road access to tourism corridors, and peace in traditionally volatile areas are key indicators of the administration’s understanding of the industry’s value to Delta’s economy. “Governor Oborevwori has opened up our state to both local and international cultural enthusiasts,” he said.

Ochor commended the governor for the unity and inclusiveness demonstrated across ethnic and cultural lines, saying these are the true bedrocks of a viable tourism industry. He pledged the continued support of the Tourism Board to build on the gains achieved so far.

The Tourism Board Chairman urged Deltans to celebrate the anniversary with gratitude and optimism, assuring them that the cultural, historical, and environmental assets of the state will be better harnessed under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership in the years ahead.
