Oborevwori is a Leader with a Heart of Gold, Says Delta Orientation Bureau DG

ASABA/Nigeria: Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as a leader with a “heart of gold.”

He made this statement on Sunday during a Thanksgiving Service at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in Asaba, celebrating his recent appointment as Director General by the governor.

During the service, Oghenesivbe expressed deep gratitude to Governor Oborevwori, stating that the governor had broken the long-standing stagnation in his political career, which had lasted for nearly a decade.

He acknowledged that the promotion to Director General marked a turning point for him and attributed the breakthrough to divine intervention. “What God cannot do does not exist,” he said.

Oghenesivbe recalled that at the peak of his frustration, he sought guidance from his spiritual father at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, who recommended deliverance prayers. According to him, after a period of intense prayers, God answered, using Oborevwori to change the course of his political journey.

Reflecting on his career, Oghenesivbe shared that he had served as an Executive Assistant to the governor for nearly eight years—seven years under the previous administration and less than a year under Governor Oborevwori. During that time, while some colleagues were promoted multiple times, he remained stagnant. However, on August 19, 2024, Oborevwori elevated him to Director General, a move that brought immense joy.

“I thank God for using Governor Oborevwori to break the yoke of stagnancy in my life. It has brought me inestimable joy, and I am forever grateful,” Oghenesivbe said. “This is a new dawn in my political career, and I pledge my absolute loyalty and dedication to the governor.”

At the reception following the church service, Oghenesivbe addressed members of the media, urging journalists, editors, and publishers in Delta State to verify information before publishing. He emphasized the importance of fact-checking and avoiding the spread of misinformation.

“As gatekeepers, it is essential to hear from both sides to ensure balanced reporting,” he said. “Constructive criticism is good because it helps the government deliver better services to the people.”

Oghenesivbe also called on his colleagues in the media to support Governor Oborevwori’s administration, highlighting the significant infrastructure projects the governor is executing across Delta State. He noted that the administration’s efforts are yielding positive results for the people of Delta.

“Governor Oborevwori is a good man with a good heart, and I urge everyone to pray for him and support him as he continues to do more for Deltans,” Oghenesivbe concluded.
