Oborevwori is a Unifier and Team Player Amid New Role as APC Leader in Delta – Oghenesivbe
ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has been described as a pragmatic, humble, and selfless leader who is poised to steer Delta to greater heights beyond 2027, following his emergence as the new leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Communications and Orientation, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, made this assertion during a public affairs radio programme on Friday. He said Governor Oborevwori’s inclusive leadership style and courage place him in a strong position to unite all stakeholders within the APC and drive the party’s consolidation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Oghenesivbe, the recent wave of defections and political realignments in the state underscores the resilience of constitutional democracy, particularly the freedom of association that allows for dynamic shifts within party structures. He noted that the APC in Delta has become “bigger, stronger and more viable,” and is now well-positioned to deliver victory for all its candidates in 2027, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.
“Governor Oborevwori is a selfless leader, a team player, firm and pragmatic. His commitment to selfless service cannot be overemphasized,” Oghenesivbe said.
He described the governor’s new role as APC leader in the state as a call to higher responsibility, stressing that Oborevwori is well-equipped to balance political interests, unite diverse tendencies, and work for the benefit of all Deltans.
Oghenesivbe urged new members of the APC to embrace unity and avoid divisive rhetoric, emphasizing that the strength of the party lies in its ability to function as one political family under a purposeful and inclusive leadership.
“The governor’s emergence as APC leader has been widely accepted. The majority of Deltans are happy with the new political direction. As loyalists, we will all rally around him to advance the progress of our great party,” he said.
Oghenesivbe expressed optimism that Governor Oborevwori’s style of governance and leadership credentials will further strengthen the APC in Delta State, consolidate gains, and ensure a seamless political journey into the next election cycle.
