ASABA/Nigeria: Director General of Delta State Bureau for Communications, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has continued to uphold the principles of equity, fairness, and good conscience in the distribution of infrastructure and democratic dividends across Delta’s three senatorial districts.
He made the assertion on Sunday during a public affairs radio programme monitored in Asaba, stating that while it is lawful for citizens to demand more infrastructure in their communities, such demands should not be reduced to online agitations or criticisms, but properly channeled through elected representatives or political appointees.
Dr. Oghenesivbe noted that the recent N200 billion approved by the governor for new projects across the state was a clear reflection of Oborevwori’s commitment to equitable governance, with more flyovers, pedestrian bridges, road dualizations, and empowerment programmes to come.
The Bureau chief emphasized that it is not only the right of citizens to place demands on government, but also morally right to appreciate performance, pointing out that Oborevwori has proven through achievements in two years that he came into office fully prepared, with a clear vision and resolute leadership.
He assured that the governor would continue to maintain a fair spread of infrastructure development and just allocation of state resources, guided by conscience and equity.
Oghenesivbe also highlighted that Oborevwori maintains balanced engagement with leaders of all ethnic groups, urging those seeking more development projects and empowerment to remain patient as the administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda continues to roll out prosperity across the state until 2031.
“Governor Oborevwori has been fair to the three senatorial districts in the spread of infrastructure development and equitable distribution of state resources.
“Projects are ongoing while some are already completed in all local government areas. Mega infrastructure is now spreading. Agbor in Delta North and Ughelli in Delta Central are now beneficiaries of mega flyovers. It will reach other places in the state,” he said.
“One thing is clear and unarguable. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is a governor for all Deltans, not detribalized, not partial in his official dealings. He will continue to balance appointments, infrastructure, and youth and women empowerment across the state,” Oghenesivbe assured.
