Oborevwori to Commission 18km Road Network in Ndokwa West

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Wednesday, June 3, inaugurate three strategic road projects covering a total of 18 kilometres in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, as part of activities marking his third anniversary in office.

The projects, according to a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, are expected to boost connectivity, ease transportation and stimulate socio-economic activities across the benefiting communities. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m.

The road projects slated for commissioning include the 4.5-kilometre Obi-Ibabu/Ibabu Road in Onicha-Ukwuani, the 5.0-kilometre Utagba-Uno/Ndemili Road Phase I, and the 8.4-kilometre Etua Ukpo/Etua Etiti/Etua Oliogo Road, all located within Ndokwa West Local Government Area.

The statement noted that the projects underscore the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure under its MORE Agenda, with a focus on improving road connectivity, enhancing economic growth and raising the living standards of residents across the state.

Community leaders, residents, party faithful and other stakeholders have been urged to turn out in large numbers to welcome the governor and witness the inauguration of the projects. Guests are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m.

The commissioning forms part of a series of events lined up to commemorate Governor Oborevwori’s three years in office, a period the state government says has been characterised by the execution of impactful infrastructure projects in various parts of Delta State.
