Oborevwori Urges Prayers for Peace and Prosperity as Muslims Celebrate Eid-el-Maulud

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor called on Muslims to take the opportunity to pray for peace and prosperity in Delta State and Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of collective prayers to help the country navigate its current economic and security challenges.

Governor Oborevwori encouraged Muslims to follow the example of Prophet Muhammad by promoting peaceful coexistence wherever they reside.

He noted that the teachings of the Holy Prophet, centered on piety, love, justice, and fairness, have the potential to uplift the nation.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend our best wishes to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Maulud in Delta, Nigeria, and around the world.”

“I hope that we embrace the spiritual lessons of the Prophet’s teachings and apply them in our daily lives for the betterment of our country,” Oborevwori said.

The Governor also expressed his desire for the celebration to bring joy to every household in Delta, Nigeria, and beyond, while fostering unity and stability.
