ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering transformative projects across the state ahead of his second-year anniversary.

Speaking on Thursday at the maiden State Executive Council meeting for 2025, held at the Exco Chamber, Government House, Asaba, Governor Oborevwori emphasized the urgency of accelerating key infrastructural developments, particularly during the dry season. He urged Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to expedite the process of awarding contracts in line with his administration’s MORE Agenda.

“Today is the first Exco meeting of the year, and we are happy to take full advantage of the dry season to push forward our infrastructure drive. Deltans will see that our administration is fully prepared to do more for them,” the governor stated.

Highlighting the extensive scope of ongoing projects, Oborevwori assured that all three senatorial districts and local government areas were being prioritized in the state’s development agenda.

“We are making significant investments this period, and I have no doubt that Deltans will be happy with the results. This is in line with our MORE Agenda, which is focused on advancing the state and improving the lives of our people,” he added.

The governor further directed MDAs to fast-track contract awards, noting that the approaching rainy season underscored the need for swift action. He expressed confidence that a substantial number of projects would be ready for commissioning as part of celebrations marking his administration’s second anniversary.
