ASABA/Nigeria: Sir Monday Onyeme, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, stated that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Administration plans to collaborate with professionals.
The Deputy Governor made this statement during a courtesy visit by the Chairman and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN), Asaba District, in Asaba.
He guaranteed professionals of the government’s willingness and cooperation in sharing positive ideas and suggestions towards the growth and development of the state.
The Deputy Governor encouraged professionals to go into politics and observed that members of ICAN are qualified to hold any political position.
He praised the Executive of ICAN for keeping the profession high and promised to continually identify with the Institute.
During their respective speeches, Deacon Daniel Odeh, FCA, outgoing Chairman of ICAN, Asaba District Society, and Mrs. Agaunoke Mary, Chairman-elect, expressed their congratulations to the Deputy Governor on his recent assumption of office.
The visit was attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Christopher Osakwe, and the State Accountant General (A-G), Mrs. Joy Ewan.
