Oborevwori’s Realignment with APC a Strategic Move for Delta’s Future — Ighomrore

EFFURUN/Nigeria: The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Dr. Patrick Ighomrore, has hailed the recent political realignment initiated by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as a bold and strategic step toward enhancing governance synergy between Delta State and the Federal Government.

In a statement made available to Ndokwa Reporters, Dr. Ighomrore described the governor’s decision to move the Delta State structure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a pivotal development in the state’s political trajectory. He said the move signals a calculated effort to strengthen ties with the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the collective good of the people.

“This move reflects a calculated decision to foster a more cohesive relationship with the Federal Government of Nigeria, led by President Bola Tinubu,” Ighomrore stated. “Governor Oborevwori’s foresight ensures that Delta State remains strategically positioned to leverage federal support for accelerated development initiatives.”

While the realignment may have sparked mixed reactions, Dr. Ighomrore insisted that it was not about partisan politics but about progress.

“This is not about political party identity. It is about positioning Delta State for greater developmental gains,” he said. “Governor Oborevwori is focused on the general good of all Deltans, and this realignment is in the best interest of our collective future.” The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor.
