Ochor Congratulates the New DFA Chairman, Nwaomucha

ASABA/Nigeria:  The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor had congratulated the newly elected Delta Football Association, DFA chairman, Mr Ken Nwaomucha, who emerged as winner with a vote of 26 out of the 27 delegates in the election held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Multipurpose hall, Asaba.

The Deputy Speaker, reacting to the news said the victory of Mr. Nwaomucha did not come as a surprise to him, because he is a football enthusiast with passion, especially as an ex-national football player.

He called on the new chairman to bring into the management of the association his experiences over the years to build a formidable team that will bring laurels to the state.

He advised the new federation to work closely with the state government, as the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had continued to build sport facilities in the state, because he believe in sport development.

“Mr. Ken Nwaomucha is a football enthusiasts. He is always passionate about sports, especially football. And this is not surprising to me, with his history as a former national player”

“I call on him to bring his experiences into the management of football development in the state.”

“We had seen the efforts the State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa since inception in 2015, had shown his desire in the area of sports and sport facilities development. I encourage him and his team to work closely with the state government so to that the area of football development can be further enhanced.” He said.
