Ochor Lauds the Delta 2021 Budget

ASABA/Nigeria: The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, has lauded the 2021 Delta State Budget as presented by the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on the 27 of October, 2020 to the House, as a budget that is targeted along the reality of the time.

The Deputy Speaker stated this during the second reading of the bill at the floor of the house on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

He said the Budget is well packaged for the industrial acceleration of the state, with focus on entrepreneurship, especially with interests on youths, the Girl-Child, Persons Living With Disabilities and, the widows which will help towards the industrialisation of the state.

He stated that the increase in capital expenditure is a welcome one, as its increase will help the state towards its wealth creation programme, saying that Deltans will not be disappointed if passed and implemented.

The Bill had now been referred to the Finance Committee, and other committees, and the Finance Committee to return back on 10 November, 2020.
