ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State House of Assembly’s Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor, has commended members of the Delta Cooperative Department Staff MPCS Limited for their efforts towards empowering their members for the betterment of society.
He made this statement during the commissioning of a 20-bedroom self-contained hostel built to serve students of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku on June 1, 2023.
As the Special Guest of Honor, he reminded members of the importance of cooperative societies in the social and economic life of Nigerians and urged the management not to take the welfare of members for granted.
He applauded the management for investing in projects such as the student hostel, which will improve accommodation for students and increase the yearly dividends of the society.
The Deputy Speaker was accompanied to the event by Mr. Azuka Enebeli, Board Member Representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and some of support staff.
