Ofa Calls For Selfless Service To Humanity

OGHAREKI/Nigeria: The need for people , especially privileged individuals in the society, to render selfless services that could  uplift humanity has been stressed.

The Interim President of Oghareki Grammar School Old Boys Association, Dr. Henry Ofa, made the call during the swearing-in ceremony of the new executives of the association.

Dr. Ofa, who described the recognition as an uncommon privilege to serve as the interim president of the Oghareki Grammar School Old Boys Association for one year, said that  the association under his watch would strive to justify the confidence reposed in them by impacting positively on the school.

While saying that the initiative would afford them the opportunity to give back to the school for the invaluable knowledge imparted to them many years ago, Dr. Ofa called on stakeholders of the school to contribute their quotas towards taking the school to enviable heights.

He used the opportunity to thank all the sympathisers, especially  members of the old boys association of the school, for their individual and collective condolence visits as well as prayers for his family since the death of his younger brother, Elliot Ofa.

The interim president stated that the only way they could add values to the younger generation of the school was to embark on programmes that would help to improve and sustain the academic performance of the students, just as he advised them to take their studies seriously, shun cultism as well as  other social vices that could ruin their future.
