The coalition of Ndokwa youth leaders want to inform Ndokwa people that we have been recording some success in our demand to make Ndokwa people benefit from the 20 Million Naira monthly from DESOPADEC. When we raised the issue they denied the existence of the money but later they agreed that such money exist. We then went further to demand that the sharing formula for the money must be made public. Now we want to state clearly that the sharing formula for the money must be adopted by Ndokwa youths. Ndokwa youths must accept the sharing formula for the money. Below is the statement of the proposed sharing formula.
“TOTAL BREAKDOWN OF THE OPERATION FEED YOUR NEIGBHOR STIPEND..
For the sake of transparency and openness, the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi who directly supervised the entire process has mandated the secretariat to make public all details as it relates to the mode of disbursement of the operation feed your neighbor stipend.
Operation Feed Your Neighbor is an initiative of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa aimed at empowering community based youths as incentive, to keep vigilance on oil/gas installations in their communities, check cultism, pipe line vandalism and other social vices within the community. The intent of the money which is expected to be given to the youths monthly, is amongst other things, facilitate the education of selected less privileged ones in the communities.
Below is the total breakdown of how the money was disbursed:
Total Money Received: 18,000,000 (Eighteen Million Naira, only).
1) 102 Community Leaders: 40,000 Each.
40,000 x 102 = 4,080,000 (Four Million, Eighty Thousand Naira Only).
2) 451 Community Youth Beneficiaries: 20,000 Each.
20,000 x 451 = 9,020,000 (Nine Million, Twenty Thousand Naira Only).
3) 20 Members of Coalition Of Ndokwa Peace Ambassadors (CONPA): 10, 000 Each.
10,000 x 20 = 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira, Only)
4) 30 Members of Ndokwa Vigilante: 10,000 Each.
10,000 x 30 = 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
5) 30 Members of Anti Cult Volunteer Corps: 10,000 Each.
10,000 x 30 = 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
6) 10 Ndokwa Youth Leaders: 80,000 Each.
80,000 x 10 = 800,000 (Eight Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
7) 35 Warri Hostcom Youths: 20,000 Each.
35 x 20,000 = 700,000 (Seven Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
8) Secretariat: 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
9) Bank/Logistics: 1,600,000 (One Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
10) Publication Of Names On Vanguard: 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira, Only).
TOTAL= 18,000,000 (Eighteen Million Naira, Only).
NB: Should anyone have issues as to why his or her name is not on the list of beneficiaries, please contact the youth leader of your community, as the list was drawn up strictly from the grassroots without any interference.

On our part as a group, we have the following questions for the so called Secretariat that released this sharing formula. Firstly, what particular month is the sharing starting from? Where is the 2 million naira that ought to make the money 20 million naira? Why should community youth leaders receive 40,000 and community youth receive 20,000. For us, this is the height of discrimination. Who are the 10 Ndokwa leaders that will receive 80,000 each? We need to know the names of these people and what made them youth leaders to earn those 80,000 why should CONPA get 200,000? What is the status of Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps? Is it an NGO, a Club or what? Why give Warri Hostcom youths 700,000 and nothing was given to Hostcom of the 3 LGA that make up Ndokwa nation? What is the Secretariat doing with 500,000 after DESOPADEC have withheld 5 million naira from the original 25 million naira security vote? Who are those that make up the Secretariat? The 1,600,000 that was proposed for Bank/Logistics is extremely high? What type of Logistics is the Secretariat referring to? Who and who agreed on this proposal? We at Coalition of Ndokwa youth leaders believe that the best solution will always be a meeting of all the stakeholders to agree on a clear sharing formula.
