EFFURUN/Nigeria: The member representing Uvwie Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Efe Ofobruku, has denied insunuations that he is thinking of moving to the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
In a statement made available to Ndokwa Reporters, the member said that for the avoidance of doubt, that he remains a card carrying member of the Social democratic Party
“The attention of the office of the honourable member representing Uvwie constituency in the Delta State house of assembly, Hon. Efe Ofobruku has been drawn to rumours currently being peddled about that the Uvwie Messenger is now a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and this we refute in all entirety”.
“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to emphatically state that, Hon Efe Ofobruku remains a card carrying and bonifide member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and not the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his immediate concern and primary focus remains on fulfilling the reason why he was elected, to make laws and contribute to the general welfare of the Uvwie People”.
“Let it be on record that he is not Supporting, Financing or Sponsoring any candidate or group of candidates (be it chairman or councillor) in the forth coming local government election in Uvwie either in the SDP or any other party, so whoever cooked up such rumours can only be said to be acting of a script written by their paymasters”.
“We will not be drawn into any propaganda, as our principal is focused on his daily job as the Uvwie Messenger, and will remain dedicated to this cause, this mischievous claims are too trivia to distract him”.
“We are by this disclaimer sending out a firm warning to the originator(s) of the purported rumour to desist forthwith and put them on notice that we will not hesitate to come down hard on anyone caught using the name of our principal as a tool for his or her selfish political benefit, all in a bid to deceive the people of Uvwie”.
