ABUJA/Nigeria: Chairman of Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Limited, Hon. (Dr.) Jude Omena Ogbimi, has been inducted as an Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Debt Practitioners, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and reforms in the financial services sector.
The prestigious investiture ceremony was held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Abuja, drawing top figures from Nigeria’s debt and financial management circles. The Institute described Dr. Ogbimi as a transformational leader who has repositioned Delta Trust Mortgage Bank as a model of fiscal responsibility and growth.
In his reaction, Ogbimi revealed that the Bank had remained moribund for over a decade until his appointment. “Within just one year of my leadership as Chairman, Delta Trust Mortgage Bank has become one of the best-performing mortgage institutions in the country,” he declared.
He expressed deep appreciation to the Institute for the honour, his family for their unwavering support, and the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as his predecessor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for giving him the opportunity to serve.
He noted that the recognition would further strengthen his commitment to the Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda of Governor Oborevwori’s administration, particularly in driving access to housing and sustainable economic empowerment through strategic debt and financial management.
With this honour, Dr. Jude Ogbimi joins a distinguished circle of professionals charting the future of Nigeria’s debt management space, cementing his role as a key figure in both the financial and governance sectors.
