OGBIMI Congratulates Okowa, Onowakpo Over APC Senatorial Primary Victories

ASABA/Nigeria: Former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Ogbimi, has congratulated former Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas on their victories at the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary elections held on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Hon. Ogbimi, in a congratulatory message, described the victories of both leaders in their respective senatorial districts as a clear reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in them by party delegates and members across Delta State.

He commended Senator Okowa for securing the APC ticket for Delta North Senatorial District, noting that his wealth of experience in governance, leadership capacity and political influence would continue to play a significant role in strengthening democratic representation and advancing development within the district and the state at large.

The former lawmaker also lauded Senator Joel-Onowakpo for emerging victorious in Delta South Senatorial District, describing him as a committed and grassroots-oriented leader whose dedication to public service and development has earned him widespread support among the people.

Hon. Ogbimi expressed optimism that the victories recorded by both leaders would further enhance the unity and growth of the APC in Delta State ahead of the 2027 general elections, while urging party faithful and supporters to remain united and committed to the collective vision of building a stronger political structure.

He prayed for wisdom, strength and success for the victorious candidates as they prepare for the next phase of the electoral process, expressing confidence that their experience and leadership would contribute positively to the progress and prosperity of Delta State and Nigeria
