Oghenesivbe Commends Delta State Governor’s Commitment to Deliver on Campaign Promises

ABUJA/Nigeria:  Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, a prominent communication strategist and former spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections in Delta State, lauded the efforts of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, positive strides towards fulfilling campaign pledges.

Speaking after the inaugural meeting of the Association of Media and Communication Strategists (AMCS) in Abuja, Oghenesivbe emphasized the administration’s dedication to delivering high-quality and durable infrastructure projects.

Oghenesivbe pointed to significant developments in Delta State, particularly the engagement of construction giant Julius Berger in flyover projects across Delta South and Delta Central Senatorial Districts, specifically in Warri and Uvwie.

He asserted that these initiatives signify Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to advancing Delta State through socioeconomic and infrastructure projects aimed at improving living conditions and fostering meaningful development.

Regarding the formation of AMCS, Oghenesivbe stated that the association aspires to become the national umbrella organization for Media Managers and communication experts in Nigeria. He outlined its objectives, which include safeguarding members’ interests, establishing and upholding high standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Oghenesivbe also revealed plans for AMCS’s future activities, announcing an upcoming meeting scheduled for November at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. This meeting will involve members from all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, signaling the association’s broad national presence. Additionally, he confirmed that AMCS’s national secretariat will be headquartered in Abuja.

He expressed optimism about Delta State’s progress under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, particularly in the areas of social welfare, socioeconomic development, and infrastructure projects. He praised the governor’s decision to award contracts to Julius Berger for the construction of three flyovers and road expansions as a testament to the “M.O.R.E mantra’s effectiveness.

As AMCS prepares for its future endeavors, Oghenesivbe affirmed the association’s commitment to making a substantial impact on the industry, with membership criteria focused on visible track records, sound academic backgrounds, extensive experience, and exceptional writing skills. He also hinted at the emergence of state chapters in the near future, further underscoring AMCS’s commitment to advancing the field of media and communication in Nigeria.
