ISIOKOLO/Nigeria: The Director General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has congratulated Midwest Iboyitete on his election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ethiope East Local Government Area, describing his emergence as a turning point for party unity and strategic leadership.
In a statement, Oghenesivbe said Iboyitete’s election signals the beginning of what he called a new phase of cohesion and strength for the party in the council area, noting that the new chairman has long distinguished himself as a loyal and dependable stalwart with the capacity to reposition the party for electoral success.
He maintained that Iboyitete’s emergence was the result of wide consultations and consensus among party leaders and stakeholders, stressing that the confidence reposed in him reflects his commitment to the ideals and progressive vision of the party. According to him, the new leadership is expected to deepen internal unity, strengthen consensus-building, and promote teamwork within the local structure.
The bureau chief urged members of the newly constituted executive committee to remain aligned with the party’s political direction and intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the development vision of Sheriff Oborevwori, as preparations gradually build toward the 2027 general elections.
Oghenesivbe also commended party leaders and stakeholders in Ethiope East for what he described as their patriotism, sacrifice, and commitment to unity, singling out several figures for recognition, including Arthur Akpowowo, Sunday Onoriode, James Omeru, Sunny Emeyese, Faith Majemite, and Felix Erhimedafe, among others, for their roles in strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
He concluded by calling on members to close ranks, sustain internal harmony, and work collectively to secure decisive victories for the APC in Ethiope East and across Delta State in future elections.
