AGBOR/Nigeria: A tipper carrying heavy load of sand has crushed a commercial motorcycle rider (Okada) carrying load of raw cassava to death along Old Lagos-Asaba Road, close to the Orogodo River in Agbor.
The okada rider, who was identified as Oyibo, and a footballer, according to eye witness account, rammed into the tipper which was ahead of him and was trying to enter Gen Leo Irabor Street.
The accident, which caused a heavy traffic jam in Agbor was described as another unfortunate incident especially to the victim who was a popular footballer from Kwale.
According to relatives, he lived at Umunede from where he usually came to Agbor to do his Okada business.
Members of the Federal Road Safety Commission have since removed the dead body of the deceased and deposited in a mortuary.
The tipper, which did not stop after the accident, was traced to the site where he took the sand to, the driver could not be found as he had already abandoned the tipper in a bush.
