ASABA/Nigeria: The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and the Deputy Speaker, and member representing the Ukwuani State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor had been commended for their individual and collective efforts to develop Ukwuani Local Government Area, by the local chapter of the Okoda Riders Association.
The members of the association gave the commendation on Wednesday, July 6, 2021, when they visited the Deputy Speaker in his office in Asaba, the state capital.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Association, Mr Sunday Ibadu, said the body had followed development in state since 2015, and the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had carried out a policy to develop the state, for the good of all.
He pointed out the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had been doing well since inception, to develop the state, and they are committed in their supports to the policies and agenda of the party.
“We as members of the Okada Riders Association, Ukwuani Local Government Area, are here to express our gratitude to you and the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. The leadership style of his Excellency, had been wonderful. His policy to instil financial discipline and physical development of the state had been great.”
“And for you sir, you have exhibited good leadership style and representation to the people of Ukwuani State Constituency. We know what you had achieved within this two years, which far exceeds what we have received from our past representatives.” He said.
Responding, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor, thanked the leadership of the associations for their supports to the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He enjoined them to continue their supports, as they will definitely receive the reward for doing so.
Ochor However asked members of the association to be law abiding as development can only take place in an area where there is peace and love.
“I encourage you to continue your supports to this government, and to our great party, PDP, because I know and assure you that you will reap the reward of your supports.”
“However, we all have to ensure peace in the local Government Area, because its only in area where there is peace and love, that development will thrive.” He admonished.
