Okowa: Action Democratic Party Governorship Aspirant Get Knock From Delta PDP

ASABA/Nigeria: The Action Democratic Party, ADP, Governorship Aspirant for the General Election of 2019 in Delta State, Frank Esanubi, and Vice Chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) had received political knock for attacking the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of fund wasting, employing too many political appointees.

In a press statement by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, signed by the Publicity Secretary, Mr Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, accused the governorship aspirant of spewing out lies, just to be relevant, especially for a person who is seeking to be a governor, and for such using an uncouth language on the person of the governor.

“Even as we do not begrudge him of his right to aspire to any political and elective office, we of the Delta PDP take serious exception however, to his intemperate use of uncouth language on the person of His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State, just as we strongly remonstrate against the tissues of distortions, unintelligent arguments and lies”.

The party accused Mr Esanubi of trying to be sentiment to win the heart of Deltans, by asking those he calls old politician to give way, which it called blackmail.

“Maybe that’s how he became Vice President of PENGASSAN; his older and better experienced colleagues probably had to fall to his blackmail and left the stage for him and so he did not have to struggle to get the position”.

The statement reminded the aspirant, that politics in Nigeria, and the world is not done by sentiment.

“Politics in Nigeria and the world over is one in which stakeholders don’t appeal to sentiments and base instincts in seeking for political elective office. They came in by conscious effort and have, through hard, dedicated work attained their dreams”.

Reflecting on the age issue, the party told the union executive, that he is coming into politics late at the age of 40, as the state governor, and many other Nigerians ventured into leadership at a very young age.

“Beyond his trade union politics and possibly the elections at his community development union end of year meetings,…at 40 years, already an old man, while the likes of Governor Okowa, and others, against who he is throwing tantrums started out in politics in their 30s”.

According to the party, the office of the governor of a state is different from the office of vice president of a trade union organisation, where their only activities is to regularly make painful demand on the government.

“He  needs to be told that the office of the governor of a State is different from the office of a vice president of PENGASSAN, where the job is to regularly become a pain in the neck and make demands on government and employers, failing which, he calls out his colleagues to down tools”.

They party accuses the governorship aspirant of being anti people, as his condemnation of the governors’ appointees as nothing but enemy of progress, as his claims show signs of lack of intelligent.

“His claims and unintelligent puerile reasoning gives him away as an enemy of progress and one that is averse to getting the unemployed youths out of the labour market”.

The party accuse him of being selfish and presumptuous fellow, who has too high an opinion of himself with little or no understanding for others.
