ASABA/Nigeria: The newly sworn-In, Governor Okowa’s appointee into the Board of the Delta State oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Dr. Samuel Ochonogor Ossai, had congratulated the State governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for showing capacity towards development of the state, as he hadpromised to work with the templates of the governor, to ensure that the dividend of democracy is noticed within the mandate areas of the commission.
Dr. Ossai who made this known immediately after taking the oath of office last Friday, said that his appointment as an Executive Director by the governor is to ensure that his policy of prosperity for All Deltans is achieved, and in tandem with the SMART Agenda policy, all geared for effective democratic dividend.
“I am going to DESOPADEC to join hands with our Executive Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to contribute to the development of our dear state, especially the oil producing areas. I will work with the SMART Agenda policy of this government, which is all geared towards a better developed Delta, which will at the end bring Prosperity to the land.”
The new Executive Director, while thanking the governor for the opportunity giving to him to serve, appealed to Deltans to give their maximum supports to the governor, irrespective of party as his focus is for the good of all.
“I thank His Excellency for giving me this opportunity to serve our people, it’s an opportunity to contribute to the development of our state, especially the DESOPADEC mandate areas. The governor for these past years had shown his capacity to develop the state. And I am happy that I had been given the opportunity through this appointment to be part of that development process.” He said.
Dr. Ossai also used the opportunity to call on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, faithfuls in the state, especially those within the DESOPADEC mandate area, to work without ceasing to ensure that Okowa;s second term as the executive Governor of the state is achieved.
“I am using this opportunity to call on members of our great party, the PDP, to work unceasingly for the reelection of our amiable governor, and the entire PDP candidates come 2019. It’s our duty to campaign, and mobilise supports for all PDP candidates.”
