Okowa Is Destined To Rule Delta for Two Terms-Onuesoke

LAGOS/Nigeria: With the 2019 general election fast approaching, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has affirmed that Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is destined to  rule Delta State for two terms  and no one can deprive him because God has ordained.

Onuesoke who spoke to journalists by the sideline when Daily Independent  newspapers  bestowed 2018 Man Of The Year  Award  On  Ifeanyi Okowa at  Eko Le’Meridian Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos  recently  said beside  the incumbent Governor of Delta state performing excellently  well despite economic crunch,  he  has been ordained by God   and destined to rule the state for second term.

While congratulating him on the man of the year award bestowed on him by the Daily Independent newspapers,  Onuesoke urged the Governor to see it as a call to higher service to the state and humanity at large.

He stated that Okowa has done quite well to deserve a second term in office, adding that since he assumed office he has done much to ensure peace, unity and harmony in diverse and complex Delta state.

Onuesoke who described Okowa as a natural peace maker, a conciliator and a bridge builder of immense characteristics whom God has bestowed leadership on and as such deserve to rule for second term.

The PDP Chieftain pointed out that the people of Delta State   are very lucky and blessed to have such an inspired and dedicated leader in the person of Okowa as our governor, adding that because of the good work he had done in the state, the people should compensate him by voting for him en masse so as to complete the good work he has started.

As for security, he said because  many youths across the state have been officially engaged in one job or the other in the state, pipeline vandalism, killing, and maiming of innocent persons have reduced drastically.

Onuesoke outlined projects that endeared the Governor to Deltans to include massive rehabilitation, construction and tarring of roads, building, equipping of schools and hospitals, reactivation and retooling of three technical colleges, the free healthcare scheme, urban renewal, skills acquisition programmes for youths, underground drains to control erosion in Asaba and Warri as well as brokering of peace in the creek that put a stop in the vandalism of pipelines.

“I can say with all sense of humility that there is peace and infrastructural development in the state. In fact, we need to encourage the man (Okowa) to come back and complete the good work he started in 2015.

“On the true state of infrastructure in the state,   he executed scores of projects since 2015 and a lot more are still being executed in all the 25 local government areas, LGAs. The Governor has been able to build bridges linking various communities in the riverine areas. These projects are visible and Governor Okowa will do more if given another opportunity,” Onuesoke vowed.

He said the recent empowerment of widows by the governor was a clear indication that he has the interest of all segment of the society at heart.

He advised eligible voters who were yet to be registered to avail themselves of the ongoing registration by INEC to enroll to enable them vote for Governor Okowa and all PDP candidates.
