ASABA/Nigeria: The State Coordinator of Senator Okowa Online Coalition, Comrade Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, has thanked members of the group for their steadfastness in promoting the Smart Agenda of the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, through the various platforms they belong to.
Comrade Asiuwhu, who is the Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, was speaking over the weekend during a general meeting of the body held at Ughelli and was attended by its members who are media giants across the state.
He congratulated the press for unbiased reportage of Delta State, especially the social media who worked tirelessly to ensure that the good works of Governor Okowa are seen by all, which made
President Muhhamadu Buhari to remark that Okowa is the favourite of the media.
Comrade Asiuhwu stated that the Governor’s transformation projects as well as human capital development programmes which have impacted positively on the lives of Deltans are a testimony of facts.
The Secretary of the Coalition, who doubles as the Political Aide to the Governor on Students Affairs, Comrade Okoh Ezekiel, and Delta South Coordinator of the group and Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture, Comrade Frank Ebikefe, admonished the members on the need to take Governor Okowa project to heart and expressed satisfaction at the performance of the Governor who has made good his promise of bringing prosperity to all Deltans.
In line with the resolution of the house, 5th of October was fixed for an Elective National Convention of the group at Abraka and various committees were set up and inaugurated. The committees include Planning, Secretariat, Finance, Security and Publicity.
High point of the meeting was a resolution for a confidence vote passed on Governor Okowa for his transformation projects and human capital development programmes.
A vote of confidence was also passed on Comrade Asiuwhu for his sterling leadership qualities and characteristics performance in leading the online family.
