Asaba: Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has received the award the state won recently courtesy of the Advertising Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) for its ‘brand building’.
The award was presented to the governor by the Chairman of the 25th anniversary celebration committee and Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, during the last Executive Council meeting held in Asaba.
The State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, who received the award on behalf of the state government in Lagos, had earlier briefed Council that the award was a fall out of the 25th anniversary of the state.
Mr. Ukah said that the governor informed Council members that the full benefits of the success of the anniversary were yet to come and appealed to members to speed up the process of preparing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for prospective investors.
The governor advised the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to put a machinery in place to fast track the processing of MoU in his office, stressing that Council members should build confidence in their staff to boost their morale.
