Okowa’s Aide Call on Delta Pilgrims to Do What Will Bring Blessings to the State

ASABA/Nigeria:  As preparation to this year’s pilgrimage to the Holy land, intending pilgrims had been advised not to carry out acts that will bring disgrace to the people and government of Delta state, but rather be involved in the things that will bring more blessings to the state.

This advice was offered during the screening exercise, at the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Secretariat, for state sponsored intending pilgrims last week, by the Executive Assistant to the Delta state governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu.

Acknowledging the state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his friendly disposal to religious issues, said that despite the poor economy, the state still fine it worth to sponsor some numbers of Deltans to the Holy land for prayers for the state.

“It is indeed a blessing that we are amongst the beneficiaries been sponsored by our amiable governor. Having done such a good thing to us as a blessing, it is our duty to use our trip to the Holy Land to bring more blessings to Delta state, our families and ourselves by engaging ourselves on holy and righteous things”.

“Let us avoid things that are capable of bringing bad name to Delta state and Nigeria at large. Let us also avoid things that will hinder our prayers. It is our obligatory duty to do things that will make God to bless us, than to do things that will bring curse upon us, as nobody, can be blessed by God for engaging i evil activities, but he will bless us if we avoid evil of every kind. He cautioned.
