Okowa’s Aide, Engr Ugbomah on Project Monitoring Recounts Benefits of the Koka Flyover Project

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had been commended for the initiative to construct the flyover at the ever busy Koka-Ibussa Junction in Asaba, saying the project when completed, will go a long way to easy in driving development towards the Ibusa end of the Asaba Capital Territory, as well as enhancement of the architectural and urbanization of the town.

This appraisal was given by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Engr Philips Ugbomah Chukwumah, during a radio programme on Bridge Radio 98.7 FM, in Asaba on Friday, January 14, 2022.

According to him, the commencement of the project is timely, as it will also help in a great way to check the vehicular gridlock that often develop within the area.

Engr Ugbomah stated that beyond the easing of problems commuters always face around the area, the project comes with economic development, within Asaba as various commercial activities will open to service the teeming population, and travelers who make use of the road, as Koka-Ibusa junction is connecting point for many travelers.

“The Koka-Ibusa junction connecting flyover is very timely, especially for logistic ease, and urbanization requirements for the greater development of the Asaba Capital Territory.”

“The Bridge will enhance, another development driver towards Ibusa, while removing and reducing any form of traffic jam and fatality from Federal road users on Benin / Onitsha way.”

“Another salient benefits of the bridge once completed is the enhancement of commercial activities within the area, as many opportunities for buying and selling will be opened.” He said.

“Taking a holistic benefits of the project, I have to say the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa took the best decision on how to enhance development within the area. I commend him for this, and for many other projects similar to this which had directly and indirectly positioned such places into viable commercial centres.” He concluded.
