Okowa Commissioning the Umutu Skill Acquisition Centre, Ukwuani LGA
OBIARUKU/Nigeria: For the successful project inspection and townhall meeting recently held in Ukwuani Local Government Area of the state by the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the people have been hailed for their warn reception and massive turnout , especially during the project inspection and commissioning.
Thanking the people, the Executive Director Social Services, Delta State Oil Producing Areas development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, said that their patience and tenacity to wait, and cheer the Executive Governor, during the working visit to the LGA was hearth rendering, as they defiled the weather condition, which threatened the visit.
“I thank you all, my people of Ukwuani for your patience, love, and tenacity to endure, even in the face of natural forces of bad weather.” He said.
He advised the people that they should continue with such strength, and give the government all the necessary support to bring development to the area.
“I plead with the people to continue to support this government, so that the necessary attraction of development to the communities in Ukwuani will be achieved”.
Hon Ochor also commented on the comprehensive and full participation of different groups, including the opposition during the townhall meeting.
“During the townhall meeting we saw the different groups, who freely expressed their minds, without harassment, including the opposition. This showed how united we are in Ukwuani. Let us keep living in unity”. He emphasised.
Speaking further, Hon Ochor called on the people to continue their support for Gov. Okowa, especially towards the 2019 election. He pointed out that the eligible voters and supporters of the governor should endeavour to register and obtain their Permanent voters card, (PVC) which is the only legal means they to bring back the governor to complete his development agenda of the state.
“I call on the people of Ukwuani to extend this love to Gov. Okowa, as they can do more by obtaining the only legal means of returning him for second term. Let them obtain their PVC, to enable them vote come 2019. It is only with your PVC you can do that, and the love which you showed during the visit will be more appreciated.” He said.
